  Thomas E King, a  professional  travel  photojournalist  and  author
  based    in    Sydney,   is    the    Executive   Editor/Bureau   Chief,
  Media East Pty Ltd,  a  multi  award   winning  international  feature
  agency  providing  editorial  packages  on  travel  destinations  and
  leisure - primarily    golf - activities  to  some  30  newspapers  and
  magazines in Australia and Asia.Having widely travelled throughout
  Asia, Australia and the Pacific over the past 30 years, Tom brings
  a unique cross-cultural  prospective to the Mentor Expertise Group.

  A member of the Australian Society of Travel Writers  for nearly 25
  years,  Tom  won  the  Association   of  Southeast  Asian  Nations
  Tourism   Association's   (ASEANTA)   Award   for   Excellence  in
  Tourism in 1998.   His  illustrated feature "Tall Tales From Borneo"
  detailed  a first person,  cultural  exploration through the Malaysian
  states of Sarawak and Sabah. He is the first journalist in the world
  to have won the ASEANTA award twice as it was also presented to
  him  in  1990  for  a  feature  on the cultural  diversity of Singapore,
  Malaysia and Thailand.

  The author of five best selling books,he has also received two gold
  commendations  from  the   Pacific   Asia  Travel  Association  for
  journalism excellence.
  
  The Nepal Tourist Board presented him with his most recent award
  in Kathmandu on World Tourism Day, September 2001.
